Common questions

The things people ask us on the first phone call, answered properly. If yours is not here, just ask us and we will add it.

How much does a small business website cost?

Rebuilding a site you already have starts at $400. A brand new site starts at $600. Those are floors. What pushes a quote up is usually the number of pages, or needing to book appointments or take payments. You get one flat number in writing before anybody starts. Full pricing here.

Am I tied into a contract?

No. Website work is a one-off price with nothing ongoing. The monthly services run month to month, and thirty days’ notice ends them with no exit fee.

Do I own the website when it’s finished?

Completely. The domain, the hosting and the site are registered in your name from day one, and you get every login. If you go elsewhere, everything goes with you.

I’ve lost the login to my own website. Can you help?

Usually, and it is one of the most common situations we deal with. We can normally work out who is holding your domain and hosting and get control moved back to you. Bring an old invoice, or even just the email address it was set up under.

How long does a website take?

A rebuild is usually two to three weeks. A new site is usually three to four. What most often holds things up is waiting on photos and decisions about what the site should say. We will chase you about it.

Will my site go down while you work on it?

No. We build on a private address and only switch your domain across at the very end, once you have approved it. The switch takes a few minutes.

Should I do SEO or Google Ads?

Different jobs. Ads buy customers today and stop the moment you stop paying. SEO is slower, cheaper over the long run, and keeps earning. If you need the phone to start ringing this month, start with ads. If you are building for the next five years, start with SEO. More on both.

Can you guarantee I’ll be number one on Google?

No, and anybody who does is either bluffing or quietly buying ads and calling it SEO. Google does not sell positions in the free results. What we can commit to is the work and a monthly report you can hold us to.

Will you write fake reviews for me?

No. It breaks Google’s rules, it can get your listing pulled, and it is dishonest to your customers. What we will do is set up a straightforward way to ask real customers at the point they are happiest.

Who will I actually be dealing with?

Jonny Fauth or Brent Roark, the two owners. There is nobody else. No account manager, no ticket system, no subcontractors. More about us.

I’m not in Sioux Falls. Can you still help?

Yes, and a good share of our work is remote, anywhere in the United States. Being in Sioux Falls simply means local customers get the option of us turning up in person. Same prices either way.

Are you too small for my business?

Possibly, and we will tell you. If you need a large team, a mobile app, or a platform with thousands of users and its own engineering roadmap, we are the wrong size of shop.

Still wondering something?

Ask us directly. You will get a straight answer from one of the owners, and we will not chase you afterwards.
